Our Sun Valley landscaping team believes that caring for your lawn is a lifelong partnership versus being like the “other guy” and only applying a couple of applications per year without monitoring the overall health. You wouldn’t let your carpet in your home be patchy, so why let your yard? It can be a bit problematic when we finally get our spring thaw here in Nebraska and see what our lawn and landscapes look like for the first time. Usually, our yards don’t look as great as they did going into winter. After a few months of snow and ice, your landscape could undoubtedly use some love and attention from our team of experts. We have customizable maintenance packages designed to meet all of your lawn maintenance needs based on your yard and lifestyle. Fertilizer+
Our lawn maintenance programs include everything your lawn needs to thrive and resist stress. They are completely customizable for each property and how hands-off each homeowner wants to be. Most lawns need 4-6 applications of fertilizer per year. Our Fertilizer+ Program includes everything you need to promote a green, healthy lawn all season based on UNL turf research and over 20 years of field experience. We apply the appropriate nutrients six times per year, including an all-organic component, grub control, fall aeration, and overseeding. Any weeds present are treated at each visit.
Mowing
Our team of professional mowers take pride in their lawn striping, trimming, and edging. We provide weekly mowing services based on the growth rate of the lawn and taper mowing down to every other week in the fall as growth rates slow down. After each visit, all hard surfaces are blown off to clean lawn clippings off of them, leaving the property with a clean, manicured look each week.
Spring Lawn Clean-up
We have a popular spring lawn clean-up program that pairs nicely with our spring bed maintenance program (more on that service later). Our spring lawn clean-up service includes cleaning winter debris out of the lawn and an initial edging along concrete surfaces to start the year out with crisp clean edges.
Fall Leaf & Debris Lawn Clean-up
Fall can be a busy time of year with football games, kids’ sports, and heading into the holiday season. Our popular fall lawn clean-up program pairs nicely with our fall bed maintenance program (more on that service later). Don’t waste time cleaning up the leaves. Our fall lawn leaf clean-up service covers two leaf clean-up visit in November to mulch, bag, and remove leaves off of the lawn before winter.
Perimeter Pest Control
This service is an excellent add-on to our fert+ or other lawn maintenance programs, but it is not sold separately. This includes three applications around your home to keep common household pests outside, and most properties are only $25 for each application.
Irrigation Maintenance
This program allows you the peace of mind that we will take care of your irrigation system throughout the growing season. Activation takes care of getting the system up and running, checking every head for proper coverage. Any repairs needed would be taken care of at this time and invoiced separately. We schedule a summer check to stop out mid-season as we approach the hot, dry months to make sure sprinkler heads are still providing proper coverage and adjusting the clock settings to water appropriately for your lawns changing needs. In late October and early November, we start winterizing irrigation systems. This includes blowing them out to protect them from damage during our brutally cold Nebraska winters.
Landscape Bed Maintenance
We have four landscape bed maintenance programs tailored specifically for your home and gardening needs, from two visits a year to bi-weekly visits. Our landscape bed maintenance service includes routine visits to pull weeds, tidy up beds and clean-up hard surfaces, remove sticks and debris, as well as skillful pruning in the spring and fall of plants and shrubs, deadhead flowers as needed, pulling and spraying weeds as needed. Hard surfaces are blown clean to leave the property tidy after each visit.
Plant Care Service
Our plant care service is an excellent add-on to any of our landscape maintenance programs. It includes three routine applications designed to feed plants in the landscape and apply a pre-emergent to keep weeds at bay between detail visits. An insecticide is applied to ornamental shrubs and perennials for common pests such as Japanese Beetles.
Spring Landscape Clean-up + Fresh Mulch
As mentioned above, this is a perfect service to pair with our spring lawn clean-up service. Our team of experts will professionally clean out your garden of winter debris, prune back ornamental grasses and perennials that were left up over winter, and re-establish crisp edges around mulch areas. We apply granular pre-emergent to the mulch beds, top-dress with 1” layer of fresh premium mulch, and apply a balanced fertilizer to the ornamental shrubs and perennials.
Fall Bed Clean-up
Round-out the garden season with our fall bed clean-up service. This service pairs well with our fall lawn leaf clean-up service. The final bed maintenance visit of the season is to clean up fall debris, cut back appropriate perennials before winter, and remove annuals that need to be cleaned out for the season.
